Eyes Wide Open
These photographs were taken on October 10, 2006 in Denver's Civic Center Park where the American Friends Service Committee had set up their Eyes Wide Open exhibit about the human cost of the Iraq War. Shoes and boots are used to symbolize the lost lives of Iraqis and U.S. soldiers. To see all the photographs in this section you can click on the "Eyes Wide Open: the Human Cost of War" category on the right side.
