These photographs were taken on October 10, 2006 in Denver's Civic Center Park where the American Friends Service Committee had set up their Eyes Wide Open exhibit about the human cost of the Iraq War. Shoes and boots are used to symbolize the lost lives of Iraqis and U.S. soldiers. I'm glad that you took these photos. They are very moving. I drove by the park and honestly had no idea what was going on. I wish I had stopped by and that there was some press on the exhibit. Lynne

I found your photos after looking for information on Rose Hill Cemetery in Commerce City. I missed this exhibit and am glad that you took the time to post your images so that I can see what it was like. It is even more moving with the passage of some time.
